Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: November 20, 2025

Preamble: This Refund & Cancellation Policy is an electronic record in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and rules thereunder. By accessing or using the services of the National Cyber Security Intelligence (NCSI), you agree to be bound by the terms set forth below.

1. Donation Refund Policy

NCSI operates on a not-for-profit model to strengthen national security infrastructure. Donations made to NCSI are considered voluntary gifts and are generally non-refundable. We urge all donors to exercise due diligence before making a contribution.
However, we acknowledge that errors may occur. A refund may be processed under the following strict conditions:
  • Technical Glitch: If a technical error results in a duplicate transaction or an incorrect amount being deducted (e.g., a double charge due to server timeout).
  • Unauthorized Use: If conclusive proof is provided that the donation was made fraudulently using a stolen credit card or compromised bank account.
  • Administrative Error: In cases where a donation was made to an incorrect cause/campaign within the NCSI portal due to a system interface error.

2. Service Cancellation & Refunds

For paid professional services, including but not limited to Corporate Investigations, Cyber Audits (VAPT), and Forensic Analysis, the following cancellation terms apply:
  • Cancellation 7+ Days Prior: If a written cancellation request is received at least 7 days before the scheduled service commencement, a 100% refund (less 5% administrative/processing fees) will be issued.
  • Cancellation 48 Hours Prior: Requests received between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the start date will be eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Last-Minute Cancellation (< 48 Hours): No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled service, as resources and manpower would have already been allocated.
  • Active Investigations: Once an investigation or audit has commenced, or if any preliminary report/data has been shared, no refunds will be entertained under any circumstances.

3. Digital Products & Training

Due to the nature of digital content, different rules apply to downloadable assets and training modules:
  • Digital Downloads: Payments for downloadable reports, whitepapers, or software tools are non-refundable once the download link has been generated or accessed by the user.
  • Training Programs: Enrollment fees for workshops or certification courses are non-refundable once the course material has been accessed or the first session has begun. Transfer of registration to another candidate may be permitted at NCSI's discretion if requested 3 days prior.

4. Processing Timeline & Method

Approved refunds will be processed in accordance with the following timeline:
  • Refund requests must be submitted via email to our finance department within 7 calendar days of the transaction.
  • Upon approval, the refund will be initiated within 7-10 business days.
  • The refund amount will be credited back strictly to the original source of payment (Credit Card, Bank Account, or Wallet). Cash refunds are not permitted under any circumstances to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
  • NCSI is not responsible for delays caused by the banking system or payment gateway service providers.

5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in relation to this policy, or any transaction with NCSI, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
NCSI reserves the right to amend or modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website implies acceptance of the updated terms.
